Content Curation

New platform homepage

Creating a platform for Culture, Strategy, and Growth

The goal of this site is to create a platform which will act as a foundation for culture, strategy, and growth. This is acheived by sharing news and tools that give the audience the content needed to understand what success means to the company, and what it looks like for the individual.

Existing content

One of the requirements of this new site was to continue the success of the previous one with new content and features to support our strategy for the new platform.

Looking at the type of content currently being shared, and what worked was a key step in our process to gather the relevant content to be shared in the new site.

Existing content review

Interviews

Interviews were conducted with 22 users, and 8 project stakeholders/contributors. Questions asked during the interviews pertained to how they felt about the current site, what they wanted to see, and how they are currently using the site in their daily routine.

Some of our key takeaways from the interviews showed us trends in the understanding of the company's strategy, culture, growth, and communication.

Personas

These findings were used to create personas to understand what type of content the audience values, what they expect to see, and how the site is used in their day to day work flow. Using this knowledge that we've uncovered, we planned for a workshop to review personas, card sorting, and experience mapping.

Personas

Content strategy

Responses taken from stakeholder interviews have been combined to understand the general consensus on topics relating to content currently being provided by the site.

Affinity mapping

We conducted a joint work session to foster an agreement among stakeholders and the agency on what content should be on the site. Card sorting existing content was a part of this workshop, as well as experience mapping.

Existing content is tagged to fall under categories that make sense for the audience. This chart also serves as a guide to place new content in its respective categories.

Community

We wanted the site to be the go-to source for all news and strategy needs. In order to create that type of culture we need to foster a sense of community within the company.

We do that with stories and videos that encourage teams to get to know each other and reach out for meaningful conversations.

Plans for 2019

Initial launch of the internal site was successful in organizing and making communities successful. Plans for future content will include for more "One on Ones" interviews with the leadership and a dedicated team to manage fresh content that will serve the organizations interests as well as encourage career growth and a team oriented culture.
